Liverpool FC TV Website

March 13, 2011 liverpool-fc-tv No Comments

Liverpool FC TV is the club’s official website. Liverpool FC TV was launched in April 2001 but the club’s official presence actually started out on the LiverpoolFC.net domain back in 2000.

The club launched Liverpool FC TV in partnership with British broadcaster ITV (Independent Television).

On 5th March 2008, Liverpool Football Club announced that it had taken full control of the site after snapping up ITV’s 50% stake in the initial project.

At the time, former chief exeuctive Rick Parry said: “We’re really pleased this has now been finalised and we’ve acquired 100% of the business.

“We’ve always been very proud of and committed to the success of both the website and, more recently, the TV channel. Not only are they integral to the success of the football club going forward, we continue to see the website and TV channel being hugely important in helping us communicate with our fan base all over the world.”

The majority of the content on the official Liverpool FC website is free although there is a paid for membership. Obviously Liverpool FC’s main aim is to generate as much revenue as possible for the club from its supporters and it does this through advertising, the official online store and sales to its electric content.

Liverpool FC TV is often nicknamed ‘the offal’. Many Liverpool FC supporters also refer to it at the official LFC propaganda website.
